Manchester Memories: combining University history with alumni memories

Members of staff who are also Manchester alumni are invited to submit their memories to the University's new interactive timeline

The Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR), with input from Dr James Hopkins, University Historian and Heritage Manager, has launched an interactive timeline combining University history with alumni memories. Manchester Memories was launched at last week’s Cockcroft Rutherford Lecture.

Timeline creator, David Hargreaves, who works in the Alumni Relations Team within DDAR, said:

"This timeline provides a wealth of historical information about the University alongside first-hand accounts of Manchester through the decades. Plans are afoot to add further content and we are now looking to increase the number of submissions from alumni to build a history of the institution through the eyes of those who studied here."
