Launch of Rules for A Playful Museum

Manchester Museum has launched a new book called 'Rules for a Playful Museum'

Rules for a Playful Museum celebrates and promotes play in museum space and sets down some key ideas for changing or improving how museums and gallery approach play. Funded by the Happy Museum, Rules for a Playful Museum is a beautiful A6 book ethically printed on textured, recycled paper using soya based riso inks. The content has been designed to be relevant and accessible to all museum staff, particularly visitor teams and those involved in the day to day running of a venue.

A new webpage has also been launched to accompany the Rules from next week. It will be packed with useful resources to encourage and support museums to become more playful places.
