Mansfield Cooper Building: latest news

13 May 2015

Following the temporary closure of the Mansfield Cooper Building earlier this week, the building is now open with access via the rear entrance doors: the main entrance doors remain closed

The area affected by the partial ceiling collapse has been completely cordoned off and users of the building will be able to access rooms, offices, the Library etc without needing to enter the affected area.

Please note there is currently no ‘out of hours’ access and the building will be locked at 7pm until further notice.

Unfortunately, disabled access to the building remains limited and Directorate of Estates and Facilities staff are working with the University’s Disability Support Office to mitigate the effects of this for staff, students and visitors to the building.

Exams have been rescheduled and will now take place in different buildings and no further use of the ground floor lecture theatres will be authorised until after the beginning of June.
