2015 Fred Jevons Lecture on 11 March

Bankspeak - the language of World Bank Reports, 1946-2012 Dominique Pestre (IFRIS and Centre Alexandre Koyré, EHESS, Paris)

The Fred Jevons Lecture commemorates the founding professor of Liberal Studies in Science at Manchester, Fred Jevons. Today, the scholarly tradition established by Fred and his colleagues is maintained by the Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine and the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research, which collectively constitute one of the world’s major centres of expertise in the social, historical, economic and political analysis of science and technology.

The 2015 lecture "Bankspeak: the Language of World Bank Reports, 1946-2012" will be delivered on March 11th at 5.30pm by Dominique Pestre (IFRIS and Centre Alexandre Koyré, EHESS, Paris). The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception.
