22 Jan 2015

Agency in the Holocaust: Perpetrators, Survivors, Rescuers by Professor Christopher Browning on 27-29 January 2015 in the Arts Lecture Theatre, Samuel Alexander Building

We are delighted to announce that the inaugural Bogdanow Lectures in Holocaust Studies 2015 will be given by Christopher Browning (Frank Porter Graham Professor, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) on the topic 'Agency in the Holocaust: Perpetrators, Survivors, Rescuers'. Among his numerous publications is the classic study Ordinary Men: Reserve Battalion 101 (HarperCollins, 1992).

The venue is the Arts Lecture Theatre in the Samuel Alexander Building (Building 67 on the Campus Map, see directions). The lectures will begin at 5.15pm. There will be a vegetarian (non-kosher) buffet from 6.30pm to 8.00pm in Christie's Bistro on Tuesday, 27 January, which is Holocaust Memorial Day.

The event is open to the public; there is no need to book a place.
