Do you come from a black or minority ethnic (BME) background?

21 Nov 2014

Do you think the University is an inclusive place to work? Have your say by completing this short survey

The University wants to create an inclusive culture and environment where everyone is able to thrive, irrespective of their race or ethnicity.

The Race Equality Survey has been developed for BME staff by an independent organisation (Equality Challenge Unit) to better understand your working environment and what we can do to advance race equality.

The University has been selected to trial the Race Equality Charter Mark and the survey is just one of the ways you can be involved: we will be communicating regularly to keep you up to date with the University's race equality work and will be seeking your views on actions going forward.

Please spare 10-15 minutes to complete the survey by 28 November 2014 online at:

All responses to this questionnaire will remain anonymous and you are invited to answer only those questions with which you are comfortable.

Please note that our definition of BME refers to people who do not define themselves as being White British.
