HS2 boss to be quizzed as Parliament comes to Manchester

04 Nov 2014

The boss of HS2 will come to Manchester to be quizzed by MPs on 17 November, as a Parliamentary Select Committee evidence session is held at the University for the very first time

As part of Parliament Week, policy@manchester and the Faculty of Humanities will be hosting a one-off update evidence session with Sir David Higgins, Chair of HS2 Ltd.

The committee, chaired by Liverpool MP Louise Ellman, will question Sir David for 90 minutes about progress on the proposed new high speed rail project. The session is a great opportunity to see the work of a select committee in action. There are a limited number of public places available for the public gallery.
