A quartet by a controversial Soviet modernist (composer of the notorious Iron Foundry) precedes a new work from Taiwan’s leading composer (premièred by the Quatuor Danel on their first visit to Taiwan) and the most genial and boisterous of Tchaikovsky’s three quartets.
