Dave Hartley braving fire and ice for locally rescued animals

22 Sep 2014

David Hartley, Senior Administrator for Drama in the Martin Harris Centre, is tackling the ultimate challenge for charity

David's Fire and Ice Challenge

On 4 October he will walk across hot coals and shards of glass to raise money for the RSPCA Manchester & Salford Branch.

The charity rehabilitates and rehomes the most abused and neglected animals in our local area which have been rescued by National RSPCA inspectors. This small independant charity is entirely self-funded - and has monthly running costs of £30,000. It receive no government funding and relies entirely on public generousity.

David has been involved with the charity as a volunteer and trustee for nearly five years and has seen at first hand the hard work they put into each and every animal that ends up in their care.
