Changes to The Marketplace

The Marketplace is one of the most popular pages on Staffnet, offering staff and students the opportunity to buy and sell their goods, properties and services to each other. And it’s about to get tweaked!
We are changing two of the Marketplace’s terms and conditions.
The first change is an addition. The reselling of rail tickets will no longer be allowed. Tickets purchased for rail travel have their own set of terms as laid out in the National Rail Conditions of Carriage and the reselling of such tickets is a contravention of these conditions. The Marketplace will no longer therefore, allow the advertising for sale of any rail tickets.
The second change has come about due to user demand and after consultation. Whilst the ban on the selling of animals will remain, the Marketplace will now allow the free rehoming of family pets subject to prior agreement with the Uniads Team. If you wish to rehome a pet due to a change in your circumstances, please place your advert as normal and a member of the Uniads Team will contact you prior to the advert 'going live'.
