Inspiring success leads to second outing in #micropoem14

Following the success of last year's micropoetry competition, the Centre for New Writing and the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures are to launch #micropoem14. This year’s theme is ‘English Summer’.

How: To enter the competition all you need to do is tweet your micropoem with the hashtag #micropoem14.

What: Your micropoem must be themed around the English Summer.

Language: Your micropoem must be in English.

How many: One micropoem per person.

Dates: The competition runs between Monday 7 and Monday 14 July 2014.

Winners will be announced by Friday 18 July 2014 by 5pm

Prizes for the best 3 poems are:

• 1st prize: Two tickets to a Literature Live event in autumn 2014
• 2nd prize: signed Jeanette Winterson book
• 3rd prize: book voucher
