Free courses for staff and postgraduate research students

Course material
We are pleased to announce the latest set of IT Services Research Computing Training courses for staff and research students.  
 
The courses begin on Tuesday, 17 June with "Introduction to Version Control using GIT", and further planned courses over the summer are:
  • Intro to numerical computing with Python
  • Intro to MPI for parallel programming
  • Advanced Xeon Phi Programming
  • Intro to Image Based Modelling Using Finite Elements
Run by Faculty IT staff, specialised research IT staff and external providers, the courses aim to provide you with the skills required to carry out your research. Courses range from basic introductory level to more advanced levels and cover a range of skills such as programming or specialist research techniques such as Image-based modelling and visualization.  
 
There are also a number of online courses that can be completed at your own convenience.
