Swap clothes at the Rutherford Swish

12 May 2014

Following on from the success of the last event, Wednesday, 11 June (12.30–1.30pm) will see the seasonal Rutherford ‘Swish’ (Clothes Swap) in the Rutherford Room, Rutherford Building.

Rutherford Swish

For all of you who are updating your spring/summer wardrobe or clearing out your autumn/winter threads - don’t throw them away; save them for 11 June and “swish” them for other pre-loved items!

Admission is £2 if you bring items, £3 if you do not. The proceeds will be shared between the Wood Street Mission and Cornerstone homeless charity.

How does it work?

You bring along any good quality items of clothing which you no longer wear/use (handbags, shoes, tops, dresses etc), you pay a donation which goes to a good cause, and you can help yourself to any items which colleagues have brought in that take your fancy! Any leftover items of clothing will be donated to the Wood Street Mission/Cornerstone, and will be put to good use by local families. Last time we raised £104 for charity, our biggest amount yet, as well as donating 12 bags of clothes to the charities.

You can also bring in items to be donated straight to charity. They are always in need of good quality children's and young adult clothing, baby equipment, bedding and toiletries.

Please spread the word about the event.
