International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO)

The University has marked this important date since 2010 and will do so once again in 2014.

On Wednesday, 14 May, academics, students and activists from Manchester will meet to discuss the impact of the recent equal marriage legislation. ‘Equality – is the Struggle Over’ will be a panel discussion hosted by Aneez Esmail – Associate Vice President for Social Responsibility.

The event will begin at 5pm with registration on B Floor of Renold Building, and will be followed by refreshments, networking opportunities and the chance to visit various stands and displays.

As IDAHO (17 May) falls on a Saturday this year, the Rainbow flag will be flown on campus on Friday, 16 May.
