Staff benefits update

20 Mar 2014

Hallé concert – Holiday Clubs – Cricket at LCCC - Gyms – Perkz prize draw - Cake and Bake prize draw extended

Freddie Flintoff

This is the biggest benefits update ever!

With Easter not too far away, it’s the time of year for those who have kids to be thinking about holiday plans and holiday clubs. We now have Super Camps and Activate Sport sharing offers for staff with kids.

Holiday clubs

Activate Sport are offering 20% discount on their sport and activity holiday courses for children aged 5-16 years in the UK.   They operate courses such as the Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy, the International Netball Roadshow and the Brendan Cole Dance Academy. They have facilities at over 75 locations nationwide including Bolton School, Stockport Grammar School, Cheadle Hulme School, Lymm High School and The Grange in Hartford - so plenty going on in and around Greater Manchester at Easter and in the summer!

Super Camps provide multi-activity camps and workshops for children aged 4-16 giving sporting, craft and outdoor options. Whether it’s whizzing round a motor quads course, creating themed arts and crafts projects or competing in a new Super Camps sports competition, children have the chance to learn new skills and have fun with a number of their courses running from the nearby William Hulme Grammar School. Visit the Activate Sport and Super Camps pages to get your code and access and savings.

Local deals

You have some great local deals this week. Don’t forget the more times you use these offers, the more you will save!

The Hallé is delighted to welcome back maestro Carl Davis on Saturday, 3 May for what is expected to be a truly thrilling Spies and Spooks programme full of super cool and equally gripping scores from spy films and TV programmes. They are offering University staff a limited number of full price tickets at £20 for this concert. This is an excellent event for those who are already Hallé fans but also for those who would like to try more popular classics with music from James Bond films!   For details on how to book visit their discount page or see the Hallé offer.

Lancashire Cricket Club has a 241 offer for the England v Sri Lanka match on 28 May. Follow this link and once you have selected your tickets (from D1, 3, 7 & 9) then input the discount code STUDENT241 into the box provided and click ‘Add to Basket’.  Please then proceed to checkout, creating a LCCC ticket account.

To entertain families, The Opera House has an offer for £5.00 for best available seats on Friday, 11 April, 7.30pm performance only for the Easter Funny written by and starring local comedian John Thomson. The show brings
the comedy and adventure of a Christmas panto to the Easter Holidays!

Pure Gym in Spinningfields has renewed their offer of no joining fee for staff and also has the benefit for all users of no contract. Visit the health and beauty discounts page for more information on this and other gym offers and Perkz for discounts at LA Fitness and Living Well!

Perkz exclusive prize draw

Exclusively for University of Manchester employees you can win four tickets to see Shrek the Musical in Manchester. A winner will be selected at random from all staff that have visited the Perkz site in March 2014. It’s that easy!
