Scheduled network outage tomorrow morning

Brief scheduled network outage for Fallowfield residential campus and University systems at The Christie (including CRUK & WMIC) at 8am, Tuesday 4 March.

Work to increase the bandwidth of the network link to the Fallowfield Hall of Residencies and The Christie is scheduled to take place on 4 March, in response to feedback received from the research community.

The improved network will allow faster speeds to computer desktops, as well as bringing significant benefit to the Computational Shared Facility (CSF) and Research Data Service (RDS).

The work will involve a 5 minute outage to the link whilst core network routers are configured from 8am.
