Manchester Histories Festival is back to celebrate the familiar and reveal the hidden histories across our city.

The University is a principal partner in the festival, which runs 21-30 March and includes more than 160 events including ‘Manchester: a personal history’ featuring our Professor of Public History Michael Wood in conversation.

For children there’s the I HEART MCR Big Saturday and Roman Object Handling at Manchester Museum.

For grown ups there’s the chance to see historians turn comedians for one night only at a special Bright Club, the 120 years of fighting cancer in Manchester walking tour, the Romans in Ancient Worlds Tour, Roman and Dark Age Manchester Showcase Seminar and Godlee Observatory tours.
