Think bike

The Learn to Ride course is a bike riding starter for beginners – you’ll learn the basics of getting on a bike and controlling it, and gain the confidence to ride on a road on your own. The course takes place with a qualified instructor in a safe, off-road environment and lasts around two hours.

The course will cover:

  • Getting on your bike, balancing and getting off again
  • Starting and stopping
  • Using the bike’s gears
  • How to look, signal and turn
  • Steering your bike and stopping quickly if you need to
  • Pre-ride bike checks

Bikes and helmets will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Please note that these courses are only open to adults (16+).
