Free bike maintenance sessions at the Royal Northern College of Music

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is running four of their popular basic bike maintenance courses at the RNCM over the coming year.
Roadside repair
If you feel like you need a bit of extra knowledge when it comes to looking after your bike, then this course is for you! These courses are best suited to new or beginner cyclists looking to prepare themselves for riding on the roads. The course will include:-
- What the parts of your bike are and what they do
- Things you should check before each ride
- Simple adjustments e.g. brakes and gears to make sure they work smoothly and safely
- What tools you might need and how to use them
- How to mend punctures
- Cleaning and lubrication
