Vacancy for Residential Pastoral Advisor at Richmond Park

Applications are invited by 15 November from academic, academic related or research staff or postgraduate students of the University for a Residential Pastoral Advisor post currently available in Richmond Park Hall of Residence, Fallowfield Campus.

Residential Pastoral Advisors work as part of the welfare support team in each residence. Duties include:

  • assisting in the pastoral care of residents;
  • working with the Residents Association; and
  • helping to foster a community spirit.

Residential Pastoral Advisors will be required to be on call during the night and at weekends on a rota basis with other colleagues.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a genuine/active interest in student affairs; individuals must be approachable and sociable, and of a socially responsible disposition, being able to demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills and an aptitude for team-working and group leadership.

Residential Pastoral Advisors are curently remunerated in the form of free accommodation. Those residing in catered halls are expected to pay the meal charges applicable to their hall of residence.
