Issues with University Login Service

On Monday 23rd September, an intermittent issue occurred with the Login Service (CAS) which affected access to services for staff and students, including My Manchester (staff and student portals), Blackboard, Student email and eScholar.
The initial My.Manchester page has been updated with relevant information to inform staff and students who usually access My Manchester.
At the time of writing, there is no observed problem, however we consider the service to be at risk.
Campus Solutions, HR and Finance systems can be accessed without having to log in through CAS.
Despite the problems, student registrations and course unit selection completion rates were still as per expectations for the day.
