UniValet closing for restructure

19 Sep 2013

New look service on its way

The on-campus car cleaning service UniValet is closing for restructure on Friday, 27 September.

This unique social enterprise was launched jointly by the University and Rochdale-based charity Petrus Community to help disadvantaged people into work.

Now at the end of its pilot period, it is time to review and assess how it is developing and use the review outcomes to inform how to take the service forward.

Along with University, UniValet is committed to developing and maintaining the ‘new look’ UniValet which will continue to provide both a high quality experience for the trainees and a competitively priced service for customers whilst ensuring the enterprise can operate as a cost effective social enterprise.

The trainees have all enjoyed working at the University campus and this has gone a long way to increase their self-esteem and confidence and will do much to sustain them in to permanent employment.

Thank you once again for your custom, support and encouragement. We will see you soon.
