N8 Shared Equipment database launch

Announcing the launch of a fully researchable online database which can be used to locate and request access to research equipment and facilities here and across the N8 university partnership.
The University and its N8 partners, the universities of Sheffield, Lancaster, Leeds, Durham, Liverpool, Newcastle and York, have been working hard to update and improve equipment registers across the group.
The resulting database, which is freely open for anyone to search, represents a vastly improved resource with information relating to over 1,300 items of equipment here at Manchester alone.
The shared database will eventually enable people to search for and view details of the research equipment held by all the N8 partners.
A launch event for selected staff will be chaired by Luke Georghiou on Thursday, 11 July – attendance by invitation.
