24 May 2013
Abstracts invited and early bird discounts available
The University, The Christie School of Oncology and Manchester Oncology Society have joined forces to organise the city’s first International Medical Student Cancer Conference.
The three-day conference – from Friday 30 August to Sunday 1 September 2013 – will see students from across the globe taking part in oral and poster presentations, breakout sessions, careers panel, social event, a quiz and more.
A team of expert oncologists, academics and graduates will also advise on how to succeed in the exciting world of cancer care.
Aimed at those with a keen interest in cancer care, including oncology, palliative medicine, surgery and primary care, it will be hosted by The Christie, the largest cancer centre in Europe, treating more than 40,000 patients a year, and also the first UK centre to be officially accredited as a comprehensive cancer centre.
- The organisers are inviting abstracts for presenting at the conference, to be submitted by 14 June.
- The conference fee is £75 or £50 if booked before 1 August.
