Do you want to help researchers understand the views of women who attend breast screening?

Researchers at the University of Manchester are inviting you to be part of an interview study  looking at the views on the offer of dietary weight loss advice and services when women attend breast screening.

 

This study aims to understand how women with overweight or obesity attending breast screening services and staff delivering breast screening view the offer of dietary weight loss advice and service. The study involves completing a background questionnaire (your age, gender, ethnicity, etc) and a one-to-one on-line interview with a researcher.  As a thank-you  we are offering a payment  for women’s time.

We wish to interview around 20-25 women who are:

  • Aged between 47 and 71 years;
  • Live in the United Kingdom;
  • Have lived experience of being overweight;
  • Not previously had breast cancer;
  • Not currently waiting for results of recent mammogram recall;
  • Not been informed they are at high risk of genetic breast cancer i.e. a BRCA1, BRCA1 2, TP53 carrier;
  • Not had had a mastectomy to reduce their risk of breast cancer;
  • Have access to, and ability to use Microsoft teams for an interview in English Please feel free to share this information with any friends or family who may be eligible to take part. Interested women can access further information by scanning the QR code or link below.
