Meet your 2025/26 Students’ Union Executive Team

As the new academic year begins, we’re pleased to introduce the University of Manchester Students’ Union Executive Team for 2025/26 - eight elected student leaders who will play a pivotal role in shaping the student experience across campus.

These officers are not only advocates for their peers but also valuable partners for university staff. Their work spans academic representation, wellbeing, community engagement, and cultural enrichment - making them key collaborators in delivering a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive university environment.
Your 2025/26 Executive Officers:
- Lexie Baynes – Union Affairs Officer
Represents students at the highest levels of university governance, including the Board of Governors and Vice-Chancellor meetings. - Aaina Mohapatra – Activities & Culture Officer
Supports student societies and champions international student engagement. - Elliot Briffa – City & Community Officer
Strengthens ties between students and the wider Manchester community, including work on housing, transport, and safety. - Sharon Mary Dominic Raj – Wellbeing & Liberation Officer
Leads campaigns for student health and wellbeing, and supports underrepresented groups. - Rachel Miller – Postgraduate Research Officer
Advocates for the needs of postgraduate researchers, balancing representation with academic commitments. - Rhi Patel – Faculty of Biology, Medicine & Health Officer
Pushing for better academic help, more mental health resources, and a welcoming community. - Amrit Dhillon – Faculty of Science & Engineering Officer
Aiming to make real changes in the faculty of Science & Engineering - from fixing timetabling headaches to improving feedback and teaching quality. - Alec Severs – Faculty of Humanities Officer
Aiming to want to fight against the marketisation that sidelines our subjects and push for more accessible education, ethical practices, and better rights info for students.
