Catch up: latest discussions on Campus 2035
26 May 2026
The recent townhall gave colleagues the opportunity to hear more about plans to develop our campus to achieve our ambitions
At this session, President and Vice-Chancellor, Duncan Ivison and colleagues talked about what our campus – both physically and digitally – will need to be to help us connect, create and do our best work.
The panel included:
- Barra Mac Ruairi, Chief Property Officer
- Professor Stephen Walker, Professor of Architectural Humanities, School of Environment, Education and Development
- Lexie Baynes, Union Affairs Officer
- Beth Micakovic, Executive Director of Faculty Operations (FBMH)
Following the panel discussion there was a Q&A session.

Please note, we’ve removed a short section of this recording due to the sensitive nature of a question raised during the event. Thank you for your understanding.
Shape your campus
We want to know your thoughts on both the physical spaces and the digital tools. This will play a vital role in identifying what’s working well, where improvements are needed, and what should be prioritised. Your voice matters – by sharing your experience, you’ll directly inform decisions that will enhance how we work, collaborate and deliver for our students and colleagues.
Your Voice Matters
Thank you to everyone who participated in the discussions, asked questions, and provided feedback. These contributions are invaluable as we deliver our strategy together. We know that we did not have time to answer many of the questions submitted on Mentimeter. As usual we capture all of these, and we will look at the best way to respond to these through future communications and engagement activity.
