Make a difference this month with Purple Place
04 Feb 2026
Vote for a cause that matters to you, and more!
This February, to coincide with Payroll Giving Month, we’re focusing on how colleagues can make a big different through small actions, as part of our Challenge Accepted campaign. Get involved and work towards positive change.
Purple Pennies: Voting now open
Purple Pennies, our micro-donation scheme, allows you to donate the pennies from the end of your monthly payslip towards causes and charities voted for by colleagues. It takes seconds to sign up, and you’ll never donate more than 99p.
Votes are currently open for the next two causes that will be supported over the next two years, supporting local charities and our four core challenges of Challenge Accepted.

Purple Pounds
Our payroll giving scheme, Purple Pounds is the tax efficient way to donate to your favourite charity on a regular or one-off basis, automatically from your monthly pay. You can support any UK registered charity or recognised good cause, including schools, foodbanks and places of worship.

Volunteering
Channelling our collective power through volunteering is a key aim of Challenge Accepted, and we encourage colleagues to utilise the Employee Volunteering policy. This gives all colleagues three paid leave days (pro-rata), per holiday year, to dedicate time, skills and passion to a local cause of their choosing.
From one of our existing partnerships, supporting the next generation as a STEM ambassador or through online tutoring GCSE students as part of our Access Project, to finding your own opportunity aligned to your interests, there’s a wide range of activities to get involved in.
