Changes when signing into Microsoft 365

On Wednesday 4 February, we’re making a small improvement to the way you sign in to Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint etc).

When you sign in to Microsoft 365 services, you’ll now enter your password directly on the Microsoft sign-in page, rather than being redirected to a separate University sign-in page. This change simplifies the sign-in experience and aligns it with how our students currently access Microsoft 365 services. 

There is no impact on your username, password, Duo authentication or access to other systems.  

Between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday 4 February, you may face disruption when signing in to Microsoft 365 services. If you are already signed in, you should not be affected. Additionally, signing in to GlobalProtect will be affected. If you are already connected you will not notice any impact, however you may experience issues if you attempt to sign in during this time.
