Connectivity issues update

Connectivity issues with some systems and services, starting Saturday 29 November and ongoing.

Tuesday 2 December 2025, 9.30am update

A period of sustained stability across the network was experienced overnight. It is believed that issues have been resolved but continued heightened monitoring will remain in place for the duration of the day. 

Monday 1 December 2025, 4.45pm update

Systems are now largely back online, and most services should be accessible. However, you may still encounter some intermittent authentication issues. If you experience problems, please refresh your browser and try again.

Please bear with us while we monitor the situation closely.

We remain on heightened monitoring and will share a further update at 9am tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Monday 1 December 2025, 2pm update

At present, car parks remain offline and unable to read permit cards. Permit cards are currently showing as an “invalid ticket”.

Barriers at Cecil Street, Dilworth Street, Booth Street West and Aquatics (upper floors), will remain open, and Dover Street will be manually operated by the Attendants.

Anyone who was still showing as present in the car parks when the systems went offline has been manually exited from the system to prevent overcharges being incurred.

If you have any issues gaining access, you can speak to the attendants via the intercoms in each car park.

Monday 1 December 2025, 12noon update

Further improvements have been made across a number of systems but there are ongoing impacts and in-stability across a number of areas. High priority investigations are continuing and steps being put in place to restore services as soon as possible. We apologise for the ongoing impact this is causing to our University community. 

Monday 1 December 2025, 9.30am

There continues to be residual issues across various systems and services. This is being investigated as a matter of urgency and further updates will be provided soon.

Saturday 29 November, Updated 21.00pm

Most systems and services are now working as normal. There are a small number of residual issues to resolve with some services.

Saturday 29 November, Updated 16.30pm

There is improved stability across all services and our IT Services colleagues have a schedule of work to complete throughout the afternoon. The team will continue to monitor the network performance while this work takes place. 

Saturday 29 November, 12.30pm

There are currently connectivity issues with some of our systems and services. Teams across the University and our network partners are continuing to monitor and work on our campus network today.  Services are slowly being restored.

We will provide another update later this afternoon.
