Future Foundations is all about improving our People and Finance services experience. We’re introducing a modern system that connects our teams and simplifies how we work across People and Finance. By reducing manual processes and improving efficiency, it will free up more time for you to focus on what matters most – delivering excellent service.
Introducing Oracle Fusion Cloud
We’re taking the next step in our digital journey with the introduction of Oracle Fusion Cloud.
Oracle Fusion Cloud will bring our People and Finance processes together in one system, connecting data and teams across the University, making it simpler and easier for everyone.
It’s not just about technology. This is a big change to how we handle Finance and People tasks.
What does it mean for you and your teams?
It supports the University’s strategy to 2035. Three key outcomes we expect to see are:
- Great quality data: A single source of truth across People and Finance.
- Simpler standard processes: Simplified ways of working across the University.
- Improved user experience: Intuitive systems that reduce manual effort and improve access to information.
How will we get there?
The Future Foundations programme team are working with Deloitte, who were appointed as the Transformation Partner following an extensive selection process. With their expertise and extensive experience in higher education, Deloitte will work with the programme from design to implementation and beyond.
When is it happening?
The programme will be delivered in three releases:
1. Release One – Late 2026 - The most important People processes, like how we pay our people
2. Release Two – 2027 - Functions to support wider Finance tasks, like how we buy and pay for things.
3. Release Three – 2027 - Other enabling functions to support planning and development

We’re working closely with colleagues who know our People and Finance processes best, running workshops to get the details right.
This is just the start—there will be plenty more chances for everyone to get involved as the programme moves forward. We’ll keep you updated on when and how you can take part.
