You’re invited: Challenge night
22 Oct 2025
Join us for something completely different... a game show with purpose

This November, we’re launching the University’s first major fundraising and volunteering campaign. Its aim is simple: to turn our 2035 strategy into action by backing the next generation of students, researchers, innovators and our cultural spaces.
Our strategy, From Manchester for the world, commits us to connecting people with the causes that matter most and partnering for impact. Now, we’re putting that ambition into motion - and you’re invited to be part of it.
What's happening?
On Wednesday 12 November, join us in person or online, for a gameshow experience where contestants from across our University community face fast-paced challenges, powered by the comedy-tech magic of Foxdog Studios (University of Manchester alumni and Edinburgh Fringe favourites)
As you play along with fellow colleagues, students, alumni and donors, you’ll discover how philanthropy and volunteering at Manchester is turning giving into global change - from tackling climate change and inequality, to advancing global health and opportunities for the next generation.
What to expect
- A high-energy gameshow with live challenges
- The chance to cheer on contestants — and maybe even join in
- Prizes up for grabs
- Find out how you can help Manchester go further, faster
