From neuro-inclusive writing practice to the day in the life of a STEM academic – get involved
The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Directorate have collaborated with colleagues in FSE, FBMH and Humanities to deliver EDI Webinar Week: a four-day series of lunchtime webinars open for all University colleagues to attend, with each day focusing on a different topic in EDI. All webinars will be delivered via Microsoft Teams, and are open to all colleagues.
- Infertility in 2025: Solutions and Support (trigger warning - infertility)
Internationally renowned andrology expert Professor Allan Pacey, from FBHM, explores the evolving landscape of infertility in 2025. With over 30 years of experience in male fertility and sperm biology, Professor Pacey brings deep insight and compassion to this vital conversation.
As Deputy Vice President and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health, Allan will delve into the latest research, treatments, and support systems available for those navigating infertility.

- Embracing a Neuro-Inclusive Writing Practice
This session explores best practices and lessons learned from the Neurodiverse Writing Group, a 10-week long programme for students at the University of Cambridge. Dr Anna Forringer-Beal will detail the pedagogical approach behind the writing group and discuss practical steps to creating more inclusive academic spaces.

The EDI Directorate are hosting this session featuring Sheena Kalayil in conversation with Sarah Fox, as Sarah reflects on her first year as Executive Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Discover the exciting plans ahead as Sarah shares how the Directorate is working to embed inclusivity across campus—creating a more welcoming and equitable environment for all, following by a Q&A session.

- In Our Element: A Day in the Life of a STEM Academic
This FSE-led session will demystify the academic career pathway in science and engineering. Through a series of lightning talks and a panel discussion, academics at different career stages will share the day-to-day realities of their roles and how this connects with their professional and lived experiences. From professors to PhD researchers, our speakers will explore the challenges, opportunities, and diverse career paths in STEM, with a focus on equality, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA).
