Bus

Over 190 bus services across Greater Manchester will be impacted due to strike action, including some routes (147 bus) along Oxford Road.

It's essential to check your specific route to avoid any delays where possible.

Affected dates

Industrial action will be taking place on the following dates:

  • Friday, 10 October,
  • Saturday, 11 October,
  • Monday, 13 October.

Note: with the exception of some early morning and late-night services, buses will operate as normal on Sunday, 12 October.

What do you need to do?

We are urging people to check before you travel and to leave plenty of time for your journey.

A full list of affected services can be found on the TfGM website

Alternative travel routes

  • Trams will operate as usual, and people will be able to use their bus tickets and passes on trams.
  • Trains will operate as normal, including Northern and TransPennine Express services.
  • Local roads may be busier than normal, so please allow for extra time when travelling (whether by car or bike).
