Updates to our Multifaith offering for colleagues
19 Sep 2025
Chaplaincy, prayer spaces, and drop-in sessions

We recognise and celebrate that faith, belief and spirituality are important in creating a sense of inclusion and belonging for many of our colleagues and students, and we’re working continuously to improve our multifaith offering. Alongside our existing Multifaith Chaplaincy Team who are on hand to support our University Community, we’re also aiming to establish more Prayer and Contemplation Spaces across campus.
What's new?
- Pop-Up Chaplaincy, a listening service for people of all faiths and none: Come along for an opportunity to speak with one of our Multifaith Chaplains about all things faith, life and spirituality. The first session will be on Monday 6th October in The Nest at the Student’s Union from 2pm to 3pm. Our chaplaincy website will be updated regularly with future dates and locations.
- New Jummah Prayer Space: The Sugden Sports Centre will now be open on Fridays during term times for Jummah Prayer, for colleagues and students at University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University. Find out more about the exact dates and timings here.
