Reclaiming Joy: A Legacy of Third Spaces

Join us for a special collaborative event with Manchester City Council, in celebration of South Asian Heritage Month and the theme ‘Roots to Routes.’ We will chart the journey of growth and the evolving identities and connections within South Asian communities, both past and present.

We’ll be exploring the day discos of the 1980s and 1990s among South Asian youth at the time and reflecting on made these third spaces so significant and where are the third spaces for South Asian communities today.

A panel discussion
Performances across traditional and contemporary South Asian art forms,
A DJ set
Lunch and refreshments
