Thanks to all staff for Welcome 2024

The team that co-ordinated Welcome 2024 would like to thank everyone involved in delivering it this year.

Whether you were delivering events and services as part of a central Student Experience Team, took part in one of the Fairs, worked on our commnications and social media, or ran events for your School or programme, the quality of this year’s welcome was exceptional.

Without our colleagues behind the scenes, Welcome 2024 would not have happened successfully. It is a shining example of how our University comes together to deliver for our students, such as the porters who reset event spaces several times a day, and Campus Cleansing for their support. From Hospitality serving large numbers of people, to Media Services supporting each event, and Campus Support & Security keeping everyone safe, every team in the University had a part to play in some way.

Earlier in the week we received this feedback from a new student who had attended an event: “Thank you so much to all of you for what you are doing for us students. I really didn’t expect all of this kindness and I am so so grateful for everything. I got some useful information and the staff were really helpful in answering all my questions. Thank you again, this all made me feel valued and I’m sure the other students felt the same way.”
