Let's talk - open discussion on equality, diversity and inclusion

We are proud to share two new episodes of our in-conversation initiative hosted by the Directorate of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).

Let's talk: Being a disabled postgraduate research student

Jackie Carter, Professor in Statistical Literacy and Academic Lead for Disability leads this conversation between Professor Colette Fagan, Vice-President for Research, and Laura Howard, Postgraduate Researcher (PGR), on the positive and challenging experiences Laura has faced as a disabled PGR at the University.

Let’s talk: Disability and Leadership

Jackie Carter, Professor in Statistical Literacy and Academic Lead for Disability leads this conversation between Patrick Hackett, Registrar and Chief Operating Officer and Kathy Bradley, Lead EDI Partner, about being a disabled leader as well as the resilience needed to do disability advocacy work whilst also being a disabled person.

How will I find out about new episodes?

All conversations will be shared on the Directorate of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion StaffNet pages and will be promoted on StaffNet. More conversations are planned for throughout the year. You can also find episodes on all major podcast platforms.

Get involved

‘Let’s talk’ encourages members of our diverse University community to have an open and honest discussion about topics right across EDI.
