Christie’s Café closing for refurbishments – reopening with a new look

28 Jul 2025

If Christie’s Café is your go-to spot for a morning coffee or a catch-up over lunch, the café will be closing from Thursday 31 July for some exciting refurbishment work.

Christie's

When will Christie's reopen?

The good news? It’s coming back better than ever! Christie’s will reopen on Monday, 15 September, with a brand-new look and an updated menu. The refresh will include improved seating areas to create an even more welcoming space to meet, grab a bite to eat, or just take a well-earned break.

In the meantime, if you have any café or hospitality-related enquiries, you can still get in touch with the team at hospitality@manchester.ac.uk.

Planning an event or something a bit bigger?

The Conference and Venues team are on hand to help – give them a call on 0161 306 4100 or drop them a line at conference@manchester.ac.uk.

Looking for somewhere to eat while Christie’s is closed?

Head over to The Beehive Restaurant in Oddfellows Hall, which will be open as usual throughout the summer: Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 4.00pm. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or a relaxed meeting spot you’re after, the Beehive team will be happy to welcome you.

To make a reservation:

T: 0161 306 0284
E: beehive@manchester.ac.uk

We’ll keep you updated as the refurbishment progresses – and look forward to welcoming you back to a refreshed Christie’s in September!
