2026 survey results

These results show comparisons with Russell Group and Higher Education benchmark groups as well as our 2025 survey. 

Benchmark comparisons: A negative number (-) means our University performs below the benchmark norm, whilst a positive number (+) shows we are performing above the benchmark norm.

2025 comparisons: A negative number (-) shows a decline since 2025 and a positive number (+) shows an increase - these are percentage increases.

The majority of questions in the survey gave five response options.  The scorecard reports show:

  • Blue – % of respondents who agree or strongly agree
  • Light Grey – % of respondents who chose neither/nor responses
  • Dark grey – % of respondents who disagree or strongly disagree

Apart from the question ‘How frequently do you feel stressed at work’:

  • Blue – rarely, never
  • Light Grey – sometimes
  • Dark grey – often, always

The results for the questions asking about discrimination and bullying and harassment should be read as follows:

  • Blue – No, I have not experienced bullying/harassment/discrimination in the last 12 months while working at this University
  • Dark grey - Yes, I have experienced bullying/harassment/discrimination in the last 12 months while working at this University
