Volunteers needed - Non-Native English Speakers
Details:
We are inviting adults to take part in a study on recognising spoken English words.
✔ Aged 18-65
✔ Normal hearing
✔ English as a second language
✔ Use Cantonese/ an Indo-European Language* as first language
*For example: Bengali, Czech, Dutch, German, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Spanish, Ukrainian, Urdu, etc.
What’s involved?
- One visit to the Ellen Wilkinson Building at the University of Manchester (45-60 minutes)
- Hearing checks
- Listening to and repeating around 60 English words
- Completing a short English test and language background questionnaire
- Time reimbursement provided
Participation is completely voluntary.
