Paid participants wanted for Psychology research study.

Project to understand how we make social and perceptual decisions.

 

We are inviting you to take part in a study examining to assess how we make social decisions about other people, and how we process sounds and words.

If you take part, you will be asked you will be asked to engage in short simple tasks including a social interaction game, evaluate social situations and outcomes, do a listening exercise, evaluate expectations about daily life. You will also complete a number of commonly used questionnaires e.g. about mood, stress and personality traits.

We do not ask for information about personal experiences. All data will be kept anonymous and confidential.

Please note one questionnaire asks about potentially distressing content (childhood trauma – though it is a tick box questionnaire, no personal information or narrative is requested).

Please note that this is a two-part study. The study will take place at the University of Manchester campus, part 1 will last approximately 2 hours 55 minutes. Part 2 will be completed approximately 4 weeks after part 1 and will last approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.

You will receive financial compensation for your time.

To be eligible to take part in this study you must be a resident of the United Kingdom, a native English speaker, and aged 16 - 65 years old. Other eligibility criteria apply.
