Bloomberg access via laptop loans

The Library recently sought clarification from our Bloomberg representative regarding how the Bloomberg Terminal can be accessed under our current educational licence.

Although the documentation does not explicitly reference laptops, Bloomberg has confirmed that access must be provided within a designated “trading floor”-style environment. This reflects how the licence is being interpreted and applied across the sector.

As a result, access to Bloomberg will now be limited to designated on-site terminals in the Finance Zone, Eddie Davies Library, and the previous option of accessing the service via loaned laptops will no longer be available.

We appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience and apologise for any disruption.
