Spring clean your wardrobe and support student success
15 Apr 2026
For some students, the cost of everyday essentials can be a real barrier to participating fully in university life - from attending interviews to feeling confident in professional settings.
Essentials, a Students’ Union service, supports students experiencing financial hardship by providing free access to basic items. As part of this, they have just launched The Wardrobe - a new initiative offering good-quality, free clothing, including everyday wear and interview or office attire.
The Wardrobe relies entirely on donations, and we’d really value your support.
We are particularly looking for clean, good-quality items, especially interview/office wear, menswear, and larger sizes.
To make this as easy as possible, we’ll be hosting a clothing donation drop-off on the ground floor of the AMBS building on 21/22/23 and 28/29/30 April 2026 between 9-11am and 1-3pm.
With 18% of students who use Essentials services studying at AMBS, your clothing donations will directly support many of the students you work with every day.
A small contribution can make a meaningful difference to a student’s confidence and opportunities.
Thank you for your support!
