Challenge Accepted: Meet the SEED Changemakers driving social impact

From Manchester, so far – The SEED Changemakers programme is a growing student-led initiative empowering undergraduates and postgraduates to create meaningful change both locally and globally.

Launched to give students the space to lead on social responsibility initiatives, the SEED Changemakers programme brings together undergraduates and postgraduates from across the School to work on the issues that matter to them. Through events, working groups and collaborative projects, students are able to connect their learning with real-world challenges, build confidence and contribute to social change.

The University’s Challenge Accepted campaign invites its global community of alumni, donors, staff, students and partners to help address some of the world’s biggest challenges by supporting students, research and social impact. The SEED Changemakers programme reflects that ambition, helping students to develop as leaders while making a difference during their time at Manchester.

By recognising participation through the Stellify Award, the programme also highlights the value of learning beyond the classroom and students are encouraged to see themselves as active contributors to society.
