The Faculty of Humanities is offering funding of up to £3,000 for innovative, evidence-informed projects aligned to the Manchester 2035 Strategy.
Got an idea that could make a real difference to teaching, learning, assessment or the wider student experience? The Faculty of Humanities is offering funding of up to £3,000 for innovative, evidence-informed projects aligned to the Manchester 2035 Strategy.
Funding can be used to bring in project support, involve students as partners, support research and evaluation activity, or enable external visits and conference attendance. Academic buy-out is not eligible.
Applications close on Friday 11 September, with successful projects notified by Friday 18 September so work can begin at the start of the new academic year.
We are particularly keen to support projects that respond to current TLSE priorities, including assessment and feedback, student voice, and delivery of the Manchester 2035 Strategy. Cross-departmental proposals, student-led or co-created projects, and applications bringing together academic and professional services colleagues are especially encouraged.
Project leads should discuss ideas with their Head of Department and Director of Teaching and Learning, or equivalent, before submitting a proposal.
Successful projects will receive support during the year and will be expected to share an end-of-project evaluation. Outputs may also provide useful evidence for recognition and progression, including promotion, University Teaching Excellence Awards, NTF or CATE applications.
