Colleagues are invited to celebrate 30 years of the Booth Centre by taking part in their annual sleepout on Friday, 14 November at Manchester Cathedral, a powerful act of solidarity with those facing homelessness.

The Booth Centre is a community centre which has been working to tackle poverty and homelessness for 30 years. It aims to provide people affected by homelessness with the opportunity to belong, gain a purpose and rebuild their lives. The Centre is run in partnership with those who attend it, and they apply their skills and experience to bring about strategic change.

Since 2011, the Booth Centre has been hosting an annual sleepout at Manchester Cathedral, giving members of the public the opportunity to offer their support and stand in solidarity with those facing homelessness. It is a chance for participants to reflect, learn and connect with others through a series of talks and stories from the Booth Centre’s community.

Funds raised from the sleepout will directly support the Booth Centre’s services – their free community café and kitchen, as well as health, accommodation, and employment programmes in a welcoming, inclusive space.
