Last awarded in 2021, the RSM’s prestigious honorary fellowships recognise the significant contributions made by the recipients throughout their careers in the healthcare sector.

The new honorary fellows will be inducted at a special ceremony on 23 July 2024 that will also see the inauguration of the new RSM President, Professor Gillian Leng CBE.

This year the Society has also awarded its highest accolade, the RSM Gold Medal, to Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, Vice Chancellor and President of The University of Manchester.

Commenting on the award, Robina said: “I am deeply honoured and humbled to be recognised in this way, marking over 25 years of dedication to the NHS, medical education, neurodiversity and the broader healthcare sector. This recognition not only highlights my personal contributions but also the invaluable support and collaboration of colleagues, volunteers, students, patient partners and family members who have supported my journey. Together, we have navigated challenges and celebrated milestones, always with the goal of advancing patient care and healthcare education. This honour is a reflection of our shared commitment and the collective impact we have made, driven by a common purpose to validate the lived experience of care through the lens of patients, carers and the community we serve”
