Promote an event

The Faculty uses the University's events calendar system 'Columba' and can help you promote:

  • events purely for FBMH staff and students
  • cross-faculty events
  • events that may be of interest to the wider public.

To publicise an event that may be of interest to FBMH staff and students, other university staff or the wider public, please complete the appropriate form and email it to the Internal Communications Team who will add the event details to the system. 

Access to Columba

If you would like to be given access to Columba, please contact the Faculty's Internal Communications team by emailing bmhcommunications@manchester.ac.uk.

The Columba Editors' guide provides instructions on how to use the system.

Event registration

If you require people to register to attend an event – eg if there are a limited number of places available – please use Eventbrite.

Where there is an exchange of payment associated to the event, consider using the University of Manchester online store. Eventbrite charges a percentage of the money made for 'selling tickets' that require an exchange of payment.

Published events will be automatically added to relevant events listing on the University and Faculty websites, and the Faculty intranet.
