Teaching and Learning

The Faculty Teaching and Learning office provides advice, and support to academic and PS colleagues on all aspects of development, management, personalised scheduling, and enhancement of the student experience, undergraduate/postgraduate taught education, and Postgraduate Research programmes. 

Our office consists of the Teaching and Learning team, the Scheduling and Projects team, the Academic Development team (formerly CARD), and the Manchester Academy for Healthcare Scientist Education (MAHSE).

Our objectives are:

• To facilitate excellence and ensure quality in teaching & learning and to enhance the student experience through continual monitoring, sharing good practice and working with students as partners.
• To provide accurate timetables, to make improvements to the timetable identified through staff and student feedback and to maximise the use of the University estate to provide timetables and spaces that are appropriate for the delivery of learning outcomes. 
• To provide first knowledge and skills training and facilitate networking, communication, and feedback to enhance teaching and learning.
• To develop, recognise and share good practice and innovations in teaching and learning.
